Tet Lunar New Year 2024, despite having to stay at the hospital in Saigon for treatment, the children here still hold onto their innocent dreams, even though they are facing cancer and cannot go back to their hometowns. They share their dreams with the Sharing Kitchen, and the Sharing Kitchen strives to make these simple dreams come true.
"Because the children have to endure many painful radiation therapy sessions, we realize that nutrition is one of the critical factors to help the children ensure the health they need to overcome the insidious illnesses."
Therefore, the Sharing Kitchen is like older siblings, companions to the children and their families, providing nutritious meals every Wednesday. People contribute their efforts, food ingredients, time, and dedication to each meal for the children. Each meal includes fresh, nutritious ingredients advised by nutrition experts and carries love, compassion, and companionship for the children.
The meals are carefully packaged and clean, emphasizing balanced nutrition, lots of vegetables, and minimal oil.
Cardano4Good and the Sharing Kitchen aim to raise 52,500,000 VNDC. This amount is equivalent to supporting medical expenses, providing 500 nutritious meals, and organizing a warm Tet Lunar New Year for the patient children.
Specifically, the donations will be used to support specialized medical treatment, purchase ingredients for cooking meals, organize birthdays and the 2024 Lunar New Year celebration to encourage and cheer up the children (throughout January and February 2024, especially during the incoming Tet Lunar New Year). While the individual value of each meal and gift may appear modest, they collectively contribute to alleviating the material and emotional burdens faced by the families of these children. In this initiative, we hope to connect with compassionate individuals and the caring community. All in all, we unite to support these children throughout their treatment journey.
Introduction of Fundraising Organization:
The Sharing Kitchen is a social enterprise established in 2019 to help those in need. We aspire to improve society by fulfilling our social responsibilities and assisting the community. Our primary focus is on providing assistance to children undergoing cancer treatment. Currently, we support nearly 250 children receiving treatment at the City Children's Hospital, aiming to accompany and support them and their families by mobilizing care and assistance from the community.
